CNC Fixed Head Facility
Established in 1986 as a small jobbing shop, we have evolved and grown over the subsequent years, into a specialist CNC milling company through continual and substantial investment in the latest generation of high-speed machinery. Our commitment to investing and manufacturing within the UK is matched by our commitment to producing the highest quality components at the lowest possible price for our diverse, worldwide client base. Central to the UK, we have around 50 members of staff at Hemlock and a further 30 at our sister company HPC Services Ltd (CNC turning) with both companies specialising in the high-speed machining of almost any material with Hemlock focusing on aluminium, non-ferrous metal or plastics.

The majority of our machines are high performance multi-axis with high-speed spindles which enable us to out-perform many of our competitors on cycle times and component cost. Our 5-axis machining facility can undertake high-speed surfacing work and also machine complex multi-axis operations with guaranteed relative geometry of all component features.

Recent investment in two Brother Speedio 5-axis vertical-spindle machining centres with robot component loading and unloading capability has brought robotic automation to Hemlock’s production facility, providing enhanced efficiency and output. This exciting addition to the services we already offer, has transformed our ability to produce medium to high volume parts with impressive speed at the lowest possible price.

We are proud to have retained our skilled pre-CNC engineers and machinery to run a dedicated prototyping and development section providing fast turnaround one-offs for clients wishing to develop their own products. In addition, we offer on-site sub-assembly facilities, stockholding as standard and same day local or international shipping.
